You Have the Talent, So Where Is the Money? is a guidebook for creating a lifestyle that is as financially rewarding to the bank account, as it is emotionally rewarding to the creative spirit that lives within us.
Spoiler Alert! We don't get paid for having talent. We get paid for providing a product or service with our talent. Without providing something of value with our talent, our potential will lie dormant while we pursue other activities.
This book explores some interesting ways we can use our talents to earn money, regardless of what our particular talents may be. While the book focuses on art and artists, the message applies to any form of creative expression.
By applying our talents in practical ways that serve the needs of others, we can convert our unique talents into a product or service that people are willing to pay for. This is a guidebook that shows you how to do it.
You Have the Talent, So Where Is the Money? is available on Amazon and from Barnes & Noble or at www.BalboaPress.com in e-book, paperback and hardcover.
Here's a 3-minute video of the process I use to create an automotive themed mural. It's fun to watch, and as I develop more videos, I'll be offering more detailed videos about how to do these types of projects.

Here's a 6-minute video that demonstrates the process of adding a vehicle into the landscape.
First I layout the background, then I add in the Jeep, then I surround the Jeep with supportive landscaping.
It's fun to watch, and I hope you enjoy it!
This video shows the basic equipment I use to paint my murals.
I use a Paasche VL-3 airbrush for the details, but most of the work is done with an inexpensive spray gun and a compressor.
The airbrush is a handy and versatile tool for applying a wide variety of paint quickly. From t-shirts to vehicles, it is especially well suited for blending colors and working on soft or rough surfaces, such as cloth or brick walls.
The airbrush never touches the surface of whatever you are painting on. It sprays the paint forward from a variable distance, providing a thin line when it's close to the surface, or a more broad and softer pattern as it gets further from the surface.
I use the airbrush for a lot of the work that I do. It's an essential tool for shading and adding the fine details and highlights.
If you're interested in learning how to use an airbrush, begin with a double-action airbrush. This video demonstrates how they work and how to maintain one.
The power of having a dream cannot be over-emphasized! Dreams have taken us to the moon, and offered the average person pleasures and opportunities the richest kings of antiquity never knew.
Your dreams can transform your personal environment, and they can affect the entire world.
